Vaccine against Rhodococcus equi

Composition
Contains R. equi virulence associated proteins (VapA) to the 85-90 kb plasmid, factor equi exoenzymes ( cholesterol oxidase and phospholipases ), capsular and somatic antigens, micolic acid, inactivated with formalin and precipitated with aluminum hydroxide gel.

Indications
Prevention of the pneumonia and other Rhodococcus equi infections in foals. The pregnant mares are vaccinated at 45 and 15 days before the parturition .
